Mercer County Clerk
The County Clerk’s office does not handle drivers license, court dates, fines, or jury duty. Please call the Circuit Clerk at 859-734-8452.
Mercer County is a county located in the U.S. state of Kentucky. As of 2000, the population was 20,817. Its county seat is Harrodsburg. The county is named for General Hugh Mercer. It is a prohibition or dry county but Harrodsburg and Pleasant Hill allow the sale of alcohol by the drink.
You have several ways to renew your vehicle:
- Call the office and renew over the phone (859-734-6310, 6311, 6312, 6313) or place in drop box at 207 W Lexington St.
- Renew online at drive.ky.gov, follow instructions given. (2019 Vehicle Ad-Valorem Tax paid can be found here as well).
- Mail in to PO Box 426 Harrodsburg, KY 40330. Mail in renewals need to include prior year registration or reminder card, proof of insurance and payment.
